In Public?

YAY, I am back from my trip! Let me just say that sometimes... too much family is just too much family. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but trying to keep 13 people happy all at once is a pain in the rear. Anyway...

I was around quite a few people at any given time... as you can imagine. And being as we were in the "Happiest Place On Earth" you can imagine that my super dirty mind... er muse... just ran with it:

"The happiest place on earth, huh? Do you really think they mean that? Because, you know as far as I'm concerned the happiest place on earth would have lots of..." and that's where I started ignoring her. :::Fingers in ears::: Lalalalalalala... I can't hear you! As you can guess that doesn't work so well when the person prattling on about sex in public is inside your head.

So, from that point on, I was on the lookout. For what? Why for places one could "hide" and have semi-public sex. Does that make me a bit twisted? Wait, don't answer that. I'm sure if my hubby knew what was going through my head he would have been on the lookout as well... and I would have been dragged into one of those spots. But seriously, can't you just imagine the scene? Maybe something like this:

The lights dimmed and suddenly despite the crowds around them, they were the only two in the entire park. The fireworks exploding overhead were special, just for the two of them.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, tugging her back against his much harder body. His fingers stroked the strip of skin exposed between the bottom of her shirt and the waistband of her jeans. A chill worked its way up her spine and down her arms at the sensual touch. She arched her back and rubbed her ass against his prominent erection.

He stepped backward with her safely enclosed in his arms until his back bumped up against the faux brick wall behind him.

"What are you doing?" she whispered as his calloused fingers dipped beneath the waistband of her jeans.

"What do you think I'm doing?" His breath in her ear sent a new chill coursing down her spine and had her nipples peaking against the lace bra beneath her cotton t-shirt. His seeking fingers pushed beneath the silk of her panties to brush against her heat.

"Someone might see!" She gasped, then whimpered as his seeking fingers brushed her erect clit. He ground the steel bar of his erection into her ass, and nipped at her ear.

"Everyone is looking up at the fireworks. No one will see." She glanced around at the people not three feet from where they stood in the shadows. When two of his fingers plunged into her wet sheath she gasped and rocked against his palm. "But, baby, you're gonna have to be quiet or they will all turn around and see me with my hand down your pants and know..."

She bit her lip and nodded, then cried out just as another explosion overhead drew oohs and aahs from the crowd in front of them.

What do you think? That could be a rather interesting scene... :-D Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a great big tease. You'll just have to keep an eye out for that one to appear in a future work.

One Can Only Dream...

Or, maybe not!

I have been stuck on the topic of vacation lately. Taking one, being on one, wishing for one. Mysti got me thinking the other day, whether she meant to or not, lol (hope I didn't steal your thunder, hon!). What would be my Dream Vacation?

Now, as I'm an author of erotic stories, we're gonna suspend reality for a bit. Aside from my true dream vacation (Ireland with the hubs), what would I do, where would I go and who would I do it all with if reality were... other than what it is?

I would love to get away to this gorgeous beach, just look at that water. White sandy beach, beautiful clear water. Long walks through the gardens, relaxing in my cabana, cold drinks, warm man...

No phones (notice I didn't say no computer), no stress, just Juan (or Carlos... they're twins... MAYBE BOTH, have to ask Jenny) to massage coconut oil into my skin and keep me entertained...

Okay, he probably wouldn't be doing THAT. I would hope more along the lines of:

*sigh* There's an image for ya! I'm SUCH a visual kinda girl. So, strictly dreaming, wouldn't it be nice? What would be YOUR dream vacation? Anything you see above appeal to you?

So, tired...I need a vacation from my vacation!

I've been rather busy lately, and without giving a whole bunch of details about my life, let me just say life has been insane in my household. I have gotten NO writing done lately... and I absolutely hate that!

I was reading JennyKat's post the other day, and almost cried. I know we're supposed to be moving down this new road together, but I'm having a hard time moving forward. Each step is dogged by something that sets me back... holds me up... or just plain makes it hard to write. So, I'm frustrated. I have voices in my head that are talking non-stop, not to mention the voices of my children as I mutter to myself trying to flesh out a scene. It's just a bit... disheartening. All I want to do is write... get my stuff done and subbed. And it's not happening. "Life is what happens when you're busy making plans." I had set up a schedule that worked ... for all of a week. My older kids would be gone to play for a few hours, and the baby would nap... blessed silence... lots of writing!

Now,the baby is demanding attention most of the day (he's teething and fussy), my other obligations feel like they falling behind (and they ARE) and I'm not getting a lick of writing done... and I want to cry at the loss. I know this isn't really an upbeat post... but I'm not really feeling all that upbeat. So, well, here it is.

My DH recently took a "trip" and got away, no business, all play. And, I found that I was incredibly jealous. I would love to just get away from EVERYONE and work (in my own way)... just write and not have to deal with any of the typical day to day stuff that stops me when I'm just too danged exhausted to do anything else beyond sleep.

If you had the chance to just get away, a retreat of some kind. Would you consider your writing to be an escape to take along with you? Or, would it be considered work and be left behind for the duration of your "vacation"? Because, I'd really like a vacation, but I know for a fact I'd be taking my work with me.
