Lederhosen is Sexy - Part 4 by Mysti Holiday

Missed Part One? Find it Here!

Missed Part Two? Find it here!

Missed Part Three? Find it here!

For a moment, her only awareness was Cody, his scent, the feel of his thick cock pumping into her wet core, the soft sounds of arousal he made in her ear. It was all so familiar and hot. Slowly, though, reality seeped in.

“Cody! God... anyone could see us.” Despite keeping her legs wrapped around his waist, she pushed against his chest.

He stilled, then nibbled along her cheekbone sending zings of desire through her body. “Do you want me to stop?”

Did she? God, no. “Don’t stop. I need you.” She tipped her head sideways, inviting him to press soft kisses to her neck and as he did he continued to move inside her, slow, deep thrusts that all but touched her heart. The emotions inside her built even as her orgasm did and when he shifted so his cock rubbed her clit with every move she whimpered, shivering as she started to come.

Cody covered her lips with his, muting their cries of completion as he plunged inside her one last time. Jerusha tasted salt in their kiss and only then realized she was crying. Her heart was so full of love for him, it overflowed and she couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

As Cody pulled out from her and tucked himself back inside his lederhosen, she dipped her head to hide her tears. She used the petticoat portion of her costume to clean up until she was composed enough to look at him.

“Jerusha?” He lifted her head with a finger under her chin. “Can we go somewhere private?

She laughed, keeping things light. “Now you want privacy?”

Cody’s expression was serious, as serious as she’d seen him. “I do. Please.”

She nodded, twining her fingers in his and leading him upstairs to her room, ignoring the questioning look Colleen threw her way as they passed.

Once inside, she closed and locked the door. “Private enough?”

He nodded, but when she reached for him, assuming he wanted to make love, he stepped back. Her heart dropped to her toes. The last time he’d acted like this, he’d dumped her. “Cody?” She backed up to the bed and flopped down.

A tiny smile quirked his lips then and he shoved his hands into the front pockets of his costume. “Jerusha.”

He took a deep breath and knelt between her knees. His left hand reached out and brushed a bit of hair from her face, then his thumb rubbed her still swollen lips. The tenderness was her undoing and tears welled and slowly traveled down her cheeks. He leaned forward, kissing each one away and then pressing one hard kiss to her mouth.

Eyes looking down at her knees, he started to speak. “Jerusha, I spent this last month absolutely miserable. I thought I wanted space. I thought I wanted freedom, but I discovered that real freedom is willingly sharing a life with the person who loves you enough to let you go. You never tried to guilt me into staying, never tried to force me to be someone I’m not. You let me leave and the only words you said were ‘I love you’.” His gaze lifted then, all but boring through her with its intensity. “Do you still love me?”

“Oh, Cody. Of course I do.”

His right hand appeared then, fisted with the fingers facing up. “Then take this and let me love you for the rest of our lives.” He opened his hand to reveal a small diamond solitaire ring.

She looked at it, then at him. “Cody, you don’t have to marry me. I know you hate the thought of being tied down.”

“You’re not a ball and chain, Jerusha.” He lifted her left hand and slipped the ring on her finger. “You’re the one who gives me wings.”

Jerusha cupped his face, caressed his skin with her fingers. “Cody, I love you so much. If this is what you really want, then I’d love to be your wife.”

He stood and laid her back on the bed, then joined her there, spooning against her, one hand cupping her breast and one curling around her pubis, fingers rubbing against her and making her wet all over again. “I love you back. Give me a few minutes and I’ll show you how much.”

Finishing up a story is never easy, especially when you didn't have a hand in the beginning! I had only a few words to get the characters to have sex (thanks, Jenny! LOL) and then find resolution emotionally. It was fun. And I love a sappy happy ending. I hope you did, too! ~ Mysti Holiday

Missed Part Two? Find it here!

His body moved against hers. It had been so long since their bodies fit together…too long. Jerusha tried to hold onto her anger and pain over his leaving, but the heat building in her pushed it away. All that was left was molten lava. And, what better way to show him what he's been missing than to give him just a little taste of it.

The crowd pushed them even closer together, and Jerusha felt his cock straining against her. She cast a quick look around as the light dimmed. Nobody was watching. And the thought someone might excited her even more. She stroked his cheek and pressed tightly against him. When he groaned deep in his throat, a smile played across her lips and she continued stroking—down his neck, his chest, his waist. A sharp intake of breath was her reward when she slipped her hand between them, rubbing his erection through his pants.

"We can take this somewhere else," he suggested with ragged breath.

"Or we can stay right here," she countered, breathing into his ear.

He groaned again and pulled her closer to him.

"Turnabout is fair play," he whispered, as he danced her into an alcove and pushed her against the wall. With one finger, he traced the swell of her breasts where they spilled out of her costume. Pushing the material down, he released one tit and cradled it in his hand.

"I've missed this," he said. Bending his head, he drew her into his mouth.

God, so much for teasing him with what he's been missing. Did that plan ever backfire.

Jerusha wrenched herself out of his grasp and turned away from him, pulling up her bodice.

"This?" she asked, her voice thick with a combination of desire and tears. "Or me? Because, God help me, no matter how much I want you, Cody, I can't go through another month like the one I just went through."

Cody pulled her back into his arms and rested his chin on her head.

"I was a fool," he confessed. "It didn't take but a few days before I realized that everything I wanted, everything I needed was with you. WAS you."

He teased her nipples through the thin material of her bodice and nuzzled her neck.
The fire inside Jerusha blazed up and she turned in his embrace, lifting herself on tiptoes to kiss him. Their tongues met in an age-old dance as she pressed herself tightly against him. He lifted her, pressing her against the wall as she wrapped her legs around him.

"Damn all these clothes," he mumbled against her hair.

"We could always go up to one of the bedrooms."

"Or we could do this," he said, moving her panties aside and, having somehow undone his pants, slipped inside her.

The music outside the alcove had changed to an erotically charged beat and Cody adjusted his rhythm to the song. Jerusha scraped her fingers down his back as he filled her.

Missed Part One? Find it Here!

Jerusha took a hesitant step into the room. The music thumped like a giant’s heartbeat and the sea of people in front of her writhed and twisted to the pounding rhythm. She had to smile. Leave it to Colleen to call this a “little gathering of friends.” Jerusha would bet that Colleen didn’t even know half these people.

She shook her head and her smile widened as she stepped further into the room, coming right to the edge of the mass of dancers. She turned to find her friend and came face to face with the one man she wasn’t sure she wanted to see tonight.

“Cody.” She murmured.

He tilted his golden head and slid his gaze down her body. The emerald color of his eyes darkened on the return trip to her face. She returned his perusal with every intention of ogling the body she’d missed so much. She stopped short when she got to his costume… then threw her hand up over her mouth to hold in the hysterical laughter trying desperately to slip out. His lips moved, but she couldn’t hear what he was saying over the pulsing backbeat of the music.

He leaned in to her and spoke directly into her ear. “Nice costume.” His breath puffed against her ear, sent a shiver shuddering down her spine, but didn’t stifle the laughter still fighting to get out.

“Funny, I was going to say that same thing.” She snickered, and gave up the fight. Leaning against his arm, Jerusha let loose the giggles she’d been bottling up and laughed until she had to hold her sides. She realized rather quickly that he wasn’t laughing with her. She gasped and stifled the giggles.

“Are you done?” he asked with a sardonic lift of his eyebrow.

Jerusha nodded and reached up to wipe the tears from her cheeks. She bit her lip and endeavored to keep her gaze on his eyes. If she looked down at his costume again she’d not be able to stop the giggles this time.

“What made you decide on that one?” Her lips twitched as she asked the question, and the answering humor in his eyes didn’t help her at all. That was one thing they’d always had – they could laugh together until everything was okay.

He looked down at his brown and green lederhosen outfit… that perfectly matched her own costume, then back to her dress. “A little birdie delivered this costume and told me that it would be most prudent for me to wear this tonight.”

A little birdie her ruffled bottom! She swung around, glaring at the people surrounding them, looking for her traitorous friend in the crowd. Colleen caught her eye from across the room and gave her a thumbs up sign. Jerusha narrowed her eyes and promised retribution. Apparently Colleen got the message, but she wasn’t worried. She grinned and blew Jerusha a kiss and sauntered off into the crowd. “Traitor,” she muttered.

The light brush of Cody’s hand on her arm drew her back around to face him. He leaned into her space again, and spoke against her ear. “Don’t be mad at her, Jer. I really wanted to do this for you.”

Goosebumps broke out along her neck when his lips brushed the shell of her ear as he spoke. Another puff of his breath pebbled her nipples and tremors shook her as she leaned against him. She’d brought her hands up and grasped his biceps before she even realized she had the urge to touch him. Who was she kidding? She always had the urge to touch him.

Somehow, she found herself pressed up against his chest. He took a deep breath and his chest rubbed against her distended nipples, wringing a gasp from her lips. She tilted her head when he took her earlobe between his teeth and nibbled. She swayed against him and he murmured in her ear.

“Dance with me, Jer. I miss feeling you move against me.”

She realized the music had changed. No longer frenetic in it’s beat, instead it was slow and sultry, seductive and sexy. The man gently persuading her into the slow movements of mock lovemaking was everything the music promised. It certainly couldn’t hurt to dance with him. While she hadn’t truly had a plan when she came down those stairs, she knew she missed him. She wanted this dance.

With a sigh Jerusha let Cody pull her fully into his arms and further into the crush of people on the makeshift dance floor.

I really had a blast doing this one. I loved that I didn't know where the other aurhtors would take this one. It was great fun to find out. Enjoy! - Kealie

Lederhosen is Sexy - Part One by Megan Slayer

“Damn Halloween costume anyway.”

Jerusha adjusted the bodice of the Oktoberfest gown in a vain attempt to cover her modesty. Trust her best friend to surprise her with the “perfect” costume. How sad? Embarrassed by the amount of cleavage showing in the mirror. Oh sure, Cody would notice her in a dirndl; how could he not? She smoothed her hands over her hips, wishing the fullness of the skirt didn’t accentuate the hourglass of her figure.

Drunk people and skimpy costumes didn’t mix. Twining a braid around her finger, Jerusha sighed. She could hide...cop out and beg out of the party...face the music and hope her ex didn’t notice.

Or, she could shore her courage and dance her heart out. What if Cody made it to the Halloween bash? Let him look. He dumped her.

“Give him something to miss.” Colleen appeared over Jerusha’s shoulder. “I knew that costume was perfect for your body. Like a second skin with ruffles.”

A grin tugged the corner of Jerusha’s mouth and crimson infused her cheeks. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, the dress did look good, like a custom job.

“I don’t have the standard hose and Mary Janes. Do you think the stilettos with the buckles would work?”

“Wicked girl. Those shoes will be perfect.” Colleen’s green eyes sparkled. “Cody won’t know what hit him. Speaking of hitting him, are you going to hit on him or just act coy?”

Ah the touchy subject finally reared its head. Tell the truth? She missed his hands on her body, the way he nipped her neck when they made love, and the rumble of his voice as he murmured in her ear. She just plain missed Cody Wesleyan. But he’d walked away. Claimed he wanted something more, something she couldn’t give him. Her heart ripped raw once again. “I thought I’d be coy and do as you said—give him something to miss.”

“Good.” Clutched in her delicate fingers, Colleen handed Jerusha the knee socks. “He didn’t deserve you, and he sure doesn’t deserve a second chance, but I think he’s genuinely sad about the split.”

About time. She’d cried her eyes out over the man. Music thumped from the speakers on the first floor, vibrating the floorboards under her feet. “Is he here?”

“He and Marty are buddies. I’d assume he’s down there.”

“You don’t know? You the queen of knowing everyone’s business, don’t know if Cody is downstairs? I should be shocked, but I’m not.”

Shrugging, Colleen turned away. “I asked Marty here. Thought maybe he’d finally come around about me.” She threw her hands in the air, a sigh of exasperation falling from her lips. “Yes, I’m trying to get you and Cody back together and if I happen to hook up with Marty, then even better. Okay?”

After slipping on her shoes, Jerusha crossed the room to her best friend and wrapped her arms around Colleen’s waist. Definitely time to give the man eye candy he couldn’t refuse. “Men. Can’t live with them and can’t shoot them. Shall we go downstairs and knock those boys’ socks off? I’m ready to party!”

End Part One

I loved writing this little bit and getting the ball rolling. I mean, how can Lederhosen NOT be sexy? And what if it wasn't exactly her idea for a great costume? Things just fell into place (pun intended).

Free Short Story!

Hey all ... I submitted a fun little Halloween story to Whipped Cream Reviews and it's being published today! It's tough to squeeze sex and romance into 1200 words (give or take), but I hope I did it. I also took a very brief and mild foray into bondage. Hope you enjoy! Just click on the cover and you'll be there.

I'd love a little feedback after you read it. Feel free to come on back and let me know what you thought.

Thursday Thirteen: Movies

My Thirteen Favorite Movies

In no particular order, other than the way they came to mind...

1. While You Were Sleeping

What's not to love? It's sweet, it's funny, it's romantic.

2. The Princess Bride

Again, funny, sweet and romantic. Did I mention funny?

3. Ever After

Hmmm... funny, sweet, romantic. I'm sensing a theme.

4. Better Off Dead

HA! This one isn't sweet (though it is funny and romantic in a terribly warped fashion).

5. Notting Hill

Yeah.. back to sweet, funny and romantic again

6. Cat Ballou

I've loved this movie as long as I can remember.

7. Fiddler on the Roof

How can you not love this clever, fun movie?

8. Undercover Blues

One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

9. Return of the King

I loved this movie (though I admit to skipping most of the Frodo parts)

10. Back to the Future

The first one. The other two were okay ... but the first one? Absolutely fabulous!

11. Star Wars

Yeah, I know ... it's called "A New Hope" now, but when I was kid? It was just "Star Wars" and it changed the whole movie scene.

12. Serial Mom

Seriously warped. Seriously funny.

13. Dead Poets Society

"Oh Captain, my Captain."

What about you? What movies would you add to my list?

Talking Characters

I know I say this all the time, but I'm behind. I know. It's not an excuse any longer. Phooey. I really don't have a lot of time.

So I was trying to sleep and my characters decided that was the time they all needed to talk at the same time. Sleep? Yeah, I didn't get any. And they had to *all* talk at the *same* time. I have a hard enough time figuring them out individually, let alone in a gang. Sheesh.

Do your characters do that to you? Or do they have pesky things they do just to drive you to the brink?

I'm gonna try to head back to the batcave. I have a couple of gay men yearning for me to stop writing their story in the notebook and finally get it onto the computer.

Wish me luck.

Reviews...

So ... I got my first truly negative review a few weeks ago. It's taken the wound that long to scab over (I admit, I was picking at the scab a bit). I wasn't sure how I'd handle a really bad review. Now I know.

I admit, it was seriously demoralizing -- partly because it was the FIRST review for "Blue Light Special" (which has since gotten two good reviews here and here) and after all the work and excitement and whatnot, having THAT be the first feedback I received was really tough.

Still, I've *mostly* gotten past it. Will I remember it? Absolutely. It's oddly easier to remember the negative stuff. But will I let it affect me negatively? Nope. I'll look at it as a challenge -- and work at making my next story so vibrant and real that this particular reviewer will have to eat her words.

How do you deal with negative reviews?

I Was Thinking...Halloween

Costumes...since Halloween is coming up, I thought I'd fins a few costumes for the girls here at the Menagerie. It wasn't too hard. Plus it was fun to look at all the pretty shoes...yes, I'm a shoe whore ('specially boots). Here's what I came up with.

For Kealie? She can so work the Avatar look. Plus, why do you really need a reason for a body suit?

(courtesy Purecostumes.com)

For Mysti? She was a bit harder. Why? Well, it had to be just right. Red Riding Hood works perfect. She can wield and axe and kick your butt, while smiling.

(courtesy Purecostumes.com)

Jenny Kat? Ah, she's the sweet innocent one of us. Really. I know, I'm not innocent. Haven't been for years. So for Miss Jenny Kat...Dorothy...spunky, but sweet.

(courtesy Purecostumes.com)

And me? The Boys suggested a vampiress...and then they saw this one. I'm sold. What do you think? Would I make a good goth fairy?

(courtesy of sexycostumes.com)

What do you think? Changes? Complaints? Girls? Are you listening?

Forgive Me?

I've been so wrapped up in promoting my latest release, I plumb forgot to post here! Shame on me.

I know Megan and Kealie have been crazy busy, too. I'm so bad, I forgot to do our Hump Day picture yesterday. I feel terrible.

Will you forgive me?

Author Interview ~ Sapphire Phelan

Hey everyone, it's a beautiful Monday, at least where I am, lol... and today we have an author willing to hang out with us on the couch. I'm sure the Cabana Boys may have had something to do with that, but we'll pretend it was our sparkling personalities that enticed her to talk with Megan and I today.

Our guest today is author, Sapphire Phelan. Let's all give her a warm Menagerie welcome (yes, the Boys are already busy making her comfortable...) and have a good time today. Since dear Megan is feeling a bit peckish today... you're getting mostly me today. Only fair since I made her carry the load last week. LOL.

Welcome to The Menagerie, Sapphire. We're so glad you could hang out with us today. Let's go ahead and get started with some basics. Where are you from?

I’m from Virginia, but before that, I grew up and lived in California, both Northern and Southern. And from birth until age four, I lived in Nebraska with my parents, until they moved farther west to California. Along with being to other states in my life, I hope that it made me enough of a well-rounded person to make an interesting writer.

Wow, you’re the country traveler. I don’t think I’ve been west of Vegas.

LOL, and if you had you wouldn't have made it further than me. So, tell us your latest news, Sapphire.

I am excited as my paranormal romance story, His Girl, is included in the Just Another Paranormal Halloween anthology, available from Mojocastle Press as of September 27th. Just in time for Halloween - my favorite time of the year.

And my erotic urban fantasy, Being Familiar With a Witch has won in the novella division of the Prism Awards 2010 — given each year by the Futuristic, Fantasy and Paranormal chapter of Romance Writers of America!

Wow, that is very cool. I'd be excited too!

How exciting! Congrats. Now that you’re an award-winning author, when did you first consider yourself a writer?

When I was 17-years old and got three poems of mine published in a poetry magazine, Hyacinths and Biscuits. I actually got a contract and earned money for them! Before, my writing was only seen by friends and schoolteachers, but then I felt many more would see it. I was so excited.

Very cool.

Cool indeed. I don't know that I would have had the courage to do something like that at seventeen. What is your favorite character you’ve written (published or not)? Why?

I would say Charun, the demon Familiar from Being Familiar With a Witch and Tina Epson, his Witch and love. They just sparked with me, like people I would enjoy knowing for real. Heck, they are real to me!

That's always the best, when the characters are so real to us. Love that. What books have most influenced your life most?

There are so many. The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, Illustrated Man and Something Wicked Comes This Way by Ray Bradbury, Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Mistress of Mellyn by Victoria Holt, and many more.

I know some of those, and actually the whole A Wrinkle In Time series is one of my all-time favorites. You know it's a good story when it sticks with you years after you last read it. Good choices! If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?

The writer who inspired me the most would be Ray Bradbury. He knows how to tell a tale that keeps your interested to reading it to the end, whether a novel or a short story.

Yup, he does tell a great story. Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?

Jim Butcher, Maggie Stiefvator, J. K. Rowling, J. R Ward, Helen Madden, and many more. How can one pin down just one?

What a wide list. What are your current projects?

Working on the first draft of A Familiar Tangle With Hell, sequel to Being Familiar With a Witch. So far, it has more words than the first book. Then I plan to start writing on the third novella in the Beast Magic trilogy, and this time the characters are werewolves. I am waiting on the edits for the second book in this series, Dark Leopard Magic, which is the second erotic male/male paranormal romance I have written.

Gotta love when you can keep busy. How cool that you can continue your worlds and stories! Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

My friends support me quite a bit in my writing endeavors. Some are hitting the writing trail themselves, but others are readers of my works and even if not, cheer me on.

A support system is vital. Do you see writing as a career?

Yes, I do. I’ve always wanted to be a writer, so I am working hard enough to make it so.

And that's the way to do it. Can you share a little of your current work with us?

His Girl in the anthology, Just Another Paranormal Halloween, is about two lovers parted from each other in the ‘70s thanks to a vampire taking the girl’s life and changing her and both are reunited years later. I got the inspiration for it when the song, My Girl played on the radio in my car one day.

Like the women in her family before her, she’s had a life-long affinity with those that wander in the land between. Some call it black magick or necromancy, but to the Oslynn family it’s always been known as death dealing. And, whether a blessing or a curse, Jayda’s always been able to feel their feelings – their love and suffering, their happiness and sorrows. The truth, when shared through her eyes, always has a way of being felt and seen. This Halloween, Jayda finds that when dealing with the dead, some memories are better left buried, for the real truth never stays buried and hearts, once broken seldom seem to mend.

Well, isn’t that a collection. Phew.

No kidding, those all look pretty interesting. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

When I wrote both of my male/male paranormal romances, the love/sex scenes between the two guys was something out of my comfort zone in knowledge and technique. I had to read other male/male stories to see how they did that.

It does help to be in the right frame of mind and understanding.

Snort... sorry... my brain moved into the right frame of mind for male/male romance... ahem... Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

Somewhat. Whether it’s a book signing, or I am an author guest at a convention. But I enjoy these as get to meet readers face-to-face.

It's always fun to meet an author in person.

I’ll bet they like that. Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?

I can write sex scenes. LOL You don’t want to be clinical and make them passionate for the readers, besides yourself.

LOL, clinical is never good. Isn't it nice to learn new... talents. :-D Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Thank you for taking time to read what I write and learning of the worlds I have created. You are helping me to keep realizing my dream of writing.

Aww... I'm sure they appreciate all you do. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

When I was eight-years-old, I started writing stories about animals and aliens and even scary stuff. I wanted to do the same things I read in my favorite books.

That's how it always starts... "I wanna do that!" What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

I usually write during the week, during the day. I go exercise in the morning at Curves, come home, shower, make and eat breakfast and watch the CBS Early Show. Then I start working on the current project I am doing. That’s not to say, I don’t write in the evening or on weekends. If a deadline is looming, I write then, too.

Wow, you actually have a schedule... :::turns to Megan::: Maybe that's our problem... oh, wait, our kids can obliterate a schedule... never mind. LOL I really wish I could keep a schedule like that!

Busy, busy. When did you write your first book and how old were you?

I was in the 7th grade. I wrote this gothic horror novel, Howling in the Night. It was done by long hand. Of course, I am sure by today’s standards — shoot, by the standards then — it wasn’t that many words!

Yes, but it was YOURS. Those things are very important for our development as writers. Wow, I sound like I actually know what I'm talking about! Ahem... sorry... What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I like to read or watch one of my favorite TV shows or a movie on Blu Ray/DVD or at the movie theater. I also like to bake, exercise, spend time with my own hero, my husband, do paranormal investigating, make and wear costumes - mainly at science fiction conventions, and do crafts.

Okay, my head is spinning. That's a lot of stuff! What does your family think of your writing?

They’re behind me all the way! It’s great to know that my husband and son are encouraging me.

That is great. It makes it so much easier when those in our lives support our endeavors. Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?

Write everyday, even if it’s not for a book or short story or article. Starting a blog clan be good practice. Also join a local writer’s critique group in town or get a critique partner you can also barnstorm with. This can be also an online one. Go to writer’s conferences or take writing workshops to help you perfect your writing. Then submit when the critique people say your work is ready. Letting your manuscript languish in the drawer won’t get it published. And if you get rejected, don’t feel upset. Everyone, even your favorite authors have been rejected many, many times. Remember, it’s perseverance that wins the race.

Great advice. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

Believe it or not, a writer! Also an actor. And I have done both, so I am very happy about that!

Oh, I believe it. And here you are! Just goes to show you.

And now it's that time in our inteview. The really fun part... not that this hasn't been fun, lol. It's time for the "absolutely-nothing-to-do-with-writing" questions where we get to pull you out of your shell kicking and screaming. :::rubbing hands together:::

Boxers, briefs, boxer briefs…. Or commando? Why?

Mmmm. . .commando. Makes it easy for the pants to be dropped and get to the love action. LOL

Somehow... I'm not surprised... What were you doing at midnight last night?

I was sleeping in my bed. What did you think? That I was out, searching for victims to bite and drink blood from? LOL

ROTFL, you mean you weren't? How disappointing... What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Squid — love it too. Also frog legs, and it tastes just like chicken.

Yanno, suprisingly, despite my roots I've never eaten frog legs. We won't discuss the squid incident. What is your favorite animal?

How about more than one? Cat, horse, and wolf.

Okay, since you picked some good ones we'll allow more than one... but just this once. What is your heritage?

I have Sioux Native American in me (my great-great grandmother was related to Sitting Bull), Irish, French Canadian, Pennsylvania Dutch, Czech and Slovakian. Call me a Heinz 57-mixture of many nationalities.

Sooo... All American Mutt like us... gotcha. LOL Have you ever cried during a movie? If yes, which one and why?

Gosh, the sad ones like love stories or animal ones like Black Beauty.

Fair enough. What is your favorite pizza?

Chicken with mushrooms and anchovies on thin crust. Sometimes jalapeƱos added to it, sometimes not.

Okay, I'm going to say something I never let my kids get away with... ewwwwww... LOL, sorry, couldn't resist. The jalapenos would send me to the hospital, though, so I think I'm allowed, lol. Are you a morning person or a night person?

I can be both, but lately, more day then night time.

Okay, well... we'll try not to hold that against you. Both Megan and I are a bit... cranky during daylight hours. But you can hang out with Mysti, she's sickeningly cheerful in the mornings. :::shudder:::

Ah well, thank the powers for the night time. I like it pitch black outside. Speaking of pitch black outside, do you like thunderstorms?

Yes, I do. There’s something exhilarating and primal about a good thunderstorm. There’s a touch of danger that says lightening can strike anytime, but yet, safety long as you’re indoors.

*sigh* We are big fans of thunderstorms here. You're in good company. Do you sleep with the light on? Why or why not?

No, never had. Somehow as a kid, I felt the monsters couldn’t find me if it was dark.

Okay, I'll take your nightlight... I need it. Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke? If so, which do you prefer?

Yes, I can. Pepsi tastes pretty sweet, Coke not. I prefer Coke.

LOL, so you think I'm insane for my Pepsi addiction. Got it. LOL If you could wish for anything, what would you wish for?

I could say world peace, but those stories written show what happens wrongly when that wish is granted. Maybe all my bills paid and to be a bestselling author.

LOL, I just thought "Harsher punishment for parole violators, Stan." Bills paid and bestselling author are good ones. :-D

Now it's time to say good bye, to all our company. M-I-C-K-E-Y... well, not really, you can hang out here all day if you want, lol. It's just come to the end of our interview today. As usual, it was a blast. Thanks to everyone who's hung with us so far.

Thank you so much for lounging on our couch with us today, Sapphire. It was great fun getting to know you better, and laughing with you. Don't be a stranger, hang out the rest of the day if you'd like.

Ta ta for now.
